If Hurricane Rita continues along the course that it is currently on, Port Arthur, Texas,
will be hit the hardest by the storm.
Until yesterday, forecasters believed that Galveston, Texas, would be hit hardest, but Hurricane Rita began traveling more eastward than anticipated, and thus Port Arthur is now the most vulnerable city on the Gulf Coast.
Port Arthur is close to the Louisiana border, and has a population of about 58,000.
