Rita has been downgraded from a tropical storm to a tropical depression.
A tropical depression is the lowest strom category, below the five categories of hurricanes, and below
a tropical storm.
When a storm is downgraded to a tropical depression, the wind speeds are quite weak, and the
storm will end soon.
A tropical depression does not have wind speeds strong enough to cause any damage.
Current sustained wind speeds are 20 mph.
